That depends on several things:
the type of keepsake you want, the number of pictures, and the amount of detail you want in your keepsake. A standard,
ten-page keepsake scrapbook, which includes 20 sheets, takes about four weeks. If you want a digital, bound, hard-cover
scrapbook it may take an additional two weeks for binding. Also, if there are large numbers of original pictures
and mementos to be scanned, that adds to the amount of time it takes.
Of course, if you have a special need for a rush order, we will
do our best to accommodate you.
What do you mean by acid-free, lignin-free paper?
Acid-free paper is paper that has had the acid removed at the pulp stage, leaving
the paper with a neutral pH balance. Lignin-free paper keeps it's color longer and does not damage pictures through
chemical breakdown. Pictures mounted on this type of paper will last longer and will not yellow and fade the way those
mounted on traditional photo albums can.
There
are several ways to approach journaling. Before beginning each design, we will have you fill out a questionnaire
with important details about the subject of your scrapbook. If you want us to, we will do the journaling, using a computer
and various fonts and journaling embellishments. Or, we can email you a copy of each page so that you can tell us what
you would like to say. Finally, we can leave spaces and blocks so that you can fill out the journaling in your own handwriting.
If you are creating a scrapbook to be handed down in your family, your handwriting, no matter how bad you may
think it is, will be a part of what makes it a treasured keepsake. However, we understand that for many people, especially
very busy people, journaling is a daunting task and they would rather have someone else do it.
